This prestigious company is also the largest rolling stock manufacturer and provider in the UK and employs over 70,000 employees in 60 countries worldwide.Position Summary:Working with one of the region's largest and well known employers you will be part of a busy team supporting the production line ensuring all materials are physically in place where and when required, that all supporting documentation is aligned to the master schedule and that any shortages are replenished and reported in line with department policies and procedures. Visually check inbound material is aligned to the production schedule inclusive of any deviation for all string deliveries by stage and car type. Upon acceptance, request for the material to be moved into the inbound area for decanting. Immediately update the material sequence control board reflective of current state. Conduct a visual check to ascertain whether there are any missing parts aligned to vehicle type and stage. Liaise with the internal supplier's team leaders/drivers to mitigate all losses and expedite deliveries within a (60 minute lead-time prior to escalation to both inventory and production manager on shift). Immediately update the material sequence board reflective of any changes should any outstanding material be acquired and delivered line-side. Populate PMRF forms and process any overstock or surplus material inclusive of MOD's. Liaise with operational team leaders, quality representatives and inventory control personnel on a two-hourly basis to ensure all NCR's and PMRF's are being addressed and managed accordingly. Liaise with the Stores team leader to acquire any outstanding NCR material that has been processed via an Alstom team leader and a quality representative.
