Requirements Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, or related field); 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles; Experience deploying containerized platforms using Docker Swarm or Kubernetes; Experiencing designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines in technologies such as Jenkins, Circle CI, Team City, Bamboo; Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or similar language; Familiarity with source control systems (e.g. git, perforce); Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Excellent communication skills with a high level of English proficiency; Excellent teamwork skills, with experience coaching more junior team members. Beneficial Knowledge of financial markets and/or financial technologies (e.g., FIX protocol, etc.); Background as a backend software engineer, with 3+ years' experience in either Java or C++; Experience working with Cloud providers (e.g. AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Azure); Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Ansible and Terraform; Experience working with and implementing monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana/Data Dog/PagerDuty); Experience (professional or otherwise) with React, Vue, or other web technologies; Experience leading and organizing the work for a team is desirable. What we care about is that you can learn quickly and find solutions to complex problems using the optimum tools for the job. What you know is less important than how well you learn and innovate. You have 1+ years of experience directly managing people. A variety of technical opportunities is one of the best things about working at The Trade Desk as a software engineer, which is why we do not expect you to know every technology we use when you start. What we care about is that you can learn quickly and find solutions to complex problems using the optimum tools for the job. What you know is less important than how well you learn and innovate. We are not seeking engineers who know all the answers; we need engineers who can invent answers no one has thought of yet and find answers to the questions yet to be asked.
